As an HSE Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will foster a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility, ensuring compliance and promoting sustainability. Manage budgets and collaborate to mitigate hazards. You will report directly to our SR HSE Manager and you’ll work out of our Mexicali, BC location on an On-site work schedule.
As an HSE Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility within the organization. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being of employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting sustainability. You will manage budgets and collaborate with other departments to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
In this role, your expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance will enable us to mitigate potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment. You will impact our business by ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment. Your contributions will not only protect our people and assets but also enhance our reputation as a responsible and sustainable organization.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in fields related to Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental Management.
- Professional experience in roles related to Safety, Hygiene, and Environment.
- Language proficiency: Spanish and intermediate conversational English.
- Knowledge of legal regulations regarding safety, health, and environment, including the ability to prepare requests and reports for authorities.
- Skills in data and risk assessment, as well as the ability to remain calm during emergency situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact across various levels of the organization.
- Ability to guide and influence employees as a functional support in Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental matters.
- Proactive in identifying improvement opportunities and implementing preventive measures.
- Strong knowledge of data analysis and risk evaluation.
- Responds quickly to emergency situations while maintaining composure during crises.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams.
