The Spa & Wellness Sales Manager is responsible for driving incremental revenue through local market activation, pre-arrival guest capture strategies, on-property conversion, as well as group and wedding segments, and targeted commercial initiatives.
This role acts as the commercial leader of the spa and wellness area, ensuring maximum visibility, capture, and conversion across all guest touchpoints, while positioning the spa as a destination for both hotel guests and the local market.
What will I be doing?
Commercial & Revenue Focus
- Drive incremental spa and wellness revenue through proactive commercial initiatives.
- Maximize spa capture rate and average guest spend through structured pre-arrival and in-stay strategies.
- Actively contribute to spa GOP optimization through revenue-focused initiatives.
Pre-Arrival
Responsible for developing and executing spa pre-arrival capture strategies, including:
- Website booking optimization
- Pre-arrival guest communications and email outreach
- Collaboration with Reservations and Sales departments
- Commercial tools and training initiatives
- Incentive programs and upselling strategies
Local Market Capture & Spa-Centric Events

Develop and execute local market strategies to drive spa utilization beyond peak in-house demand.

Create and manage spa-focused local events, including:

Wellness experiences
-
Themed spa nights
-
Community activations and partnerships

Build and maintain relationships with luxury local clients, residents, and partners to position the spa as a local wellness destination.
Groups & Spa/Wellness Buyouts
- Lead the spa component for groups in coordination with Sales and Events departments.
- Develop spa menus and wellness experiences for corporate, social, and incentive groups.
- Identify and secure full or partial spa buyouts for groups and special events.
- Support site inspections and client presentations as the spa’s commercial lead.
Digital & Content Channels
Responsible for managing and maintaining spa content across all commercial digital channels, including:

Hotel and spa websites

Instagram and social media platforms

WAY, Resort Pass, and other spa & wellness distribution platforms

Ensure all content is commercially optimized, up to date, and aligned with current offers, pricing, and experiences.

Collaborate with Marketing to update visual assets, messaging, and campaigns with a clear revenue-driven focus.
Spa Sales Manager Responsibilities
- Initiate contact with each group and assess their needs to create tailored spa experiences.
- Work closely with resort sales managers and event planners to integrate spa services into group itineraries. Participate in FAM trips and site inspections.
- Partner with the Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing to develop promotional materials, manage bookings, and track spa revenue performance metrics.
- Ensure consistent outreach efforts that increase spa utilization and enhance guest satisfaction.
What are we looking for?
To successfully perform this role, candidates should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in spa, wellness, hospitality, or lifestyle-driven commercial roles.
- Proven experience in local market activation and guest capture strategies.
- Strong understanding of digital booking channels.
- Experience working with luxury clientele, resorts, or destination spas.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
