A Groups, Meetings & Events Assistant Sales Manage will ensure the effective coordination and administration of all group room bookings, as per the group reservations procedure.
About the Role:
Join us in creating unforgettable experiences! As a Groups, Meetings & Events Assistant Sales Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind building relationships and sourcing new leads resulting in converting groups, meetings and events enquiries into memorable bookings, maximizing hotel occupancy and revenue. Ensuring a high hospitality driven service and assist the Groups, Meetings & Events Sales Manager in supporting and building the team.
What You’ll Do:
Convert incoming mid-size and large enquiries into bookings and hit current and future sales targets
Maximize sales revenue by identifying and developing new business opportunities
Perform follow-up prospect calls to convert tentative business opportunities and handle turndowns professionally whilst looking for opportunities to provide solutions for business needs
Manage client requests and ensure seamless communication throughout the booking process
Lead on-site client inspections ensuring exceeded guest expectations
Maintain strong product knowledge and stay updated on market trends and needs
Develop and drive relationships with guests and all internal stakeholders
Proactively seek feedback from clients to continuously improve service
Develop and expand current existing account portfolio by focusing on driving repeat business
Set up and cross check offers and contracts
Create great and memorable guest experience before, during and after their stay
Work closely with the G,M&E sales Manager to ensure that the selling strategy for the hotel is in line with demand through effective diary and rate management
Ensure all departmental KPI’s are monitored & achieved.
Evaluate each group enquiry against the potential displacement of revenue using appropriate systems, tools and demand calendars
Support in draw up of budget and forecast and identify risks and opportunities
Participate in Business and Commercial Focus meetings
Assist to departmental meetings, team briefings and project work and support other team members
Train and coach the Team Members, trainees in collaboration with G,M&E Sales Manager.
Hold 1 to 1 meetings and annual Performance Development Reviews with G,M&E team members together with G,M&E Sales Manager

ü Love to communicate in Dutch, English & French. Every other language is a plus.
