As a Software as a Service (SaaS) Outcome Customer Engineer (OCE), you will drive the onboarding and adoption of our Google Cloud SaaS products, clearing blockers and ensuring the customers get the maximum benefit from their investment faster. You will manage and execute the deployment plan, transitioning scoped license agreements into production by providing technical leadership to customers and partners. You will have a direct impact on the velocity and incremental consumption of customer license agreements, leading to accelerated value realization, higher adoption, and future expansion opportunities.
You will blend sales expertise, market knowledge, direct technical engagement, and technical project management to prove the value of Google Cloud SaaS products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and orchestrate a structured, end-to-end AI deployment plan across customer and partner teams, clearing architectural blockers, and ensuring organizational readiness for a successful launch.

  • Execute deep technical unblocking for key workloads, including writing enterprise grade code, debugging complex Gemini Enterprise and third party IT solutions, and architecting end-to-end enterprise AI solutions.

  • Drive and track the rapid activation of Gemini Enterprise licenses, moving customers to active consumption by executing 'ramp plans', ensuring quick transitions from basic adoption to advanced AI-assisted workflows.

  • Identify opportunities to expand the AI footprint within the account. During execution, you will spot new high-value use cases - such as complex reasoning tasks or multi-modal agents - that drive cross-functional adoption and justify new license agreements.

  • Drive sustainable product usage to help customers realize value on an ongoing basis and secure future contract renewals.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.

  • Experience in deployment planning, orchestration, or change management.

  • Experience in programming languages, debugging, or systems design.

  • Experience engaging with, presenting to, or influencing technical stakeholders or executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data management, data analytics, Cloud AI, networking, migrations or security.

  • Experience developing applications with AI features and capabilities, using proprietary or open models and frameworks, including prompt and context engineering, and external systems integration.

  • Experience in technical project management for Cloud and AI workloads, including production deployment planning, orchestration, and change management.

  • Experience developing, documenting, and communicating, enterprise architecture and end-to-end solutions which span multiple technology and organisational domains.
