About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Associate Developer to join our Funds & ACF Engineering team. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both day-to-day operational excellence and the strategic long-term development of our proprietary and commercial applications. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, providing critical real-time support to business functions while also building state-of-the-art software solutions to enhance business operations and workflows. This is a highly visible position requiring direct communication with global end-users and a flexible approach to evolving business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and fellow developers to identify, analyze, and define complex business requirements
  • Manage project releases through deployment, adhering to SDLC best practices and ensuring smooth transitions in controlled environments, reporting on team milestones and deliverables
  • Develop strategic software solutions and platforms to enhance business processes and workflows, leveraging Java and Spring Boot to build scalable RESTful services
  • Create comprehensive technical and user documentation and provide training to end-users
  • Offer expert business guidance on system-related issues and facilitate effective communication with impacted parties
  • Participate in and/or lead design and code reviews, ensuring adherence to existing standards and architectural guidelines
  • Quickly learn and understand complex business domains to guide end-users towards optimal solutions
  • Adhere strictly to the firms standard security norms and development best practices
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic team environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to high demands and challenges

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate or equivalent degree in Computer Science with excellent GPA
  • Minimum 3 yrs of work experience in the required/preferred technologies required for the role
  • Strong analytical ability and creative thought process to deliver impromptu and innovative solutions for business challenges
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, essential for driving cross-divisional projects involving multiple teams and external parties
  • Extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot for backend development, including the design and implementation of robust RESTful services
  • Proven exposure to frontend development (e.g., React) and a solid understanding of core database concepts (SQL Server, MongoDB)
  • Demonstrated experience with deploying applications in controlled environments, adhering to strict SDLC processes and best practices
  • Experience with AI and Data Analytics will be an added advantage in the selection process

Note: Expected to be in office all 5 days a week. There is no full or hybrid WFH policy.
