Summary of Role:

As part of GF’s Automotive End Market organization, the Senior Manager / Deputy Director, End Markets – Automotive will drive growth in segments such as vehicle infrastructure; leading strategy, customer engagement, and business development across China.

This role will focus on the semiconductor content that underpins the vehicle’s processing, sensing, networking architecture, electrical and electronic infrastructure, including ADAS, SDV, telematics and wireless connectivity, body and chassis control systems, lighting and sensor applications, audio electronics, and other analog, digital and mixed-signal domains.

The successful candidate will serve as a key interface between GF and leading automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and ecosystem partners in China, driving design wins and aligning customer needs with GF’s differentiated specialty technologies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development and strategy for GF’s automotive segments such as Automotive processing, Smart sensors & networking and Vehicle Infrastructure within the Automotive End Market.

  • Identify and drive new opportunities in ADAS, SDV, automotive telematics, wireless connectivity, body and chassis control, sensor, lighting, and analog power applications.

  • Develop deep relationships with Tier-1 suppliers, OEMs, and module integrators in China to expand GF’s automotive footprint.

  • Partner with global Product Line, Technology, and Sales teams to position GF’s differentiated technology offerings (e.g., BCD, Si Ge, RF SOI, and other specialty analog and connectivity platforms).

  • Create and execute account and market strategies that enable design-win acceleration and long-term revenue growth.

  • Provide voice-of-customer insights to influence GF’s automotive product roadmap and technology investments.

  • Track and analyze industry trends, customer roadmaps, and competitive developments in automotive connectivity and vehicle infrastructure domains.

  • Represent GF at industry events, customer meetings, and technology forums to strengthen our leadership in automotive semiconductors.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or related technical discipline; Master's degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor business development, product marketing, or technical sales, preferably focused on automotive electronics or vehicle infrastructure.

  • Strong technical knowledge of analog/digital/mixed signal, connectivity, and power solutions for vehicle applications (e.g., controllers, telematics, radar, lighting, sensor interfaces, and body control).

  • Proven success building strategic relationships with Tier-1 suppliers and automotive OEMs.

  • Ability to synthesize technical concepts into strategic business actions.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is strongly preferred.
