Summary of Role:

The AI/ML Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and operationalizing machine learning solutions that address high impact business needs. This role involves building and optimizing predictive and prescriptive models, performing largescale data analysis and feature engineering, and translating business requirements into effective analytical strategies. The specialist works with complex datasets and leverages modern MLOps tools and cloud platforms to deploy, monitor, and maintain models reliably. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise in Python, SQL, and leading ML frameworks, along with the ability to collaborate cross functionally, communicate insights to nontechnical stakeholders, and contribute to team growth through mentorship and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, validate, and optimize predictive and prescriptive models for key business use cases.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and experimentation at scale.

• Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and clear model strategies.

• Evaluate model performance and drive continuous improvement.

• Work with large, complex datasets from various internal systems.

• Package and deploy models using standard MLOps frameworks (e.g., Dataiku, Sagemaker, MLflow).

• Collaborate with MLOps/DevOps engineers on CI/CD pipelines for model deployment.

• Implement basic model monitoring, versioning, and lifecycle management.

• Understand containerized deployment concepts (Docker/Kubernetes) at a functional level.

Key skills:

• Expertise in Python, SQL, and common AI/ML libraries (scikitlearn, pandas, Num Py, Tensor Flow/Py Torch).

• Strong foundation in mathematical modeling, statistics, and machine learning algorithms.

• Experience in crafting ML solutions end to end: problem framing → modeling → validation → deployment.

• Strong analytical thinking and experience solving non‑recurring, complex problems.

• Familiarity with model deployment workflows: packaging, APIs, job scheduling.

• Basic knowledge of CI/CD practices, automated pipelines, and model governance.

• Comfortable working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

• Strong foundation in Generative AI and Agentic AI based project development & deployment.

Accountability:

• Ability to collaborate with data engineers, business SMEs, senior AI SMEs, and cloudops teams.

• Strong communication skills to explain models and insights to non‑technical teams.

• Willingness to mentor junior data scientists and participate in cross functional initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.

• 4+ years of applied data science experience (or equivalent).

• Demonstrated experience building and deploying ML models in real-world applications.

• Hands-on experience with data manipulation, feature engineering, and ML experimentation.

• Exposure to MLOps tools (Sagemaker, MLflow, Dataiku, etc.).
