About the Role:
Glean is seeking a Technical Marketing Engineer–Agent Development to build agents for customers’ support and sales teams to deliver real business ROI through concrete workflows. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience building agents and deep understanding of the workflows, systems and methodologies that are commonly used for support and/or sales teams.
At Glean, we believe AI agents are the next generation of apps—working alongside and on behalf of users to get high-value work done with full enterprise context. Building these agents requires both an understanding of what’s possible with AI and how businesses operate. This combination of technical and domain expertise is what will help organizations accelerate their path to agent adoption.
We’re looking for someone who has been hands-on building agents that transform businesses. You’ll play a key role in building ready to use agents and bring these to our users through a variety of content, demos, events and training.
Reporting line: This role reports to the Head of Solutions Marketing
You will:

Build and scale agents that transform how sales and/or support teams operate, driving adoption through enablement and training

Understand the way of working, processes, common tools and data sources of the support and/or sales department in depth and build agents that can drive concrete business impact

Cultivate relationships with agent builders, admins, users and sales/support leaders, capturing their feedback and turning them into actionable insights that deepen trust and adoption of Glean Agents

Represent Glean at conferences and events showcasing real-world agents, explain how they work, how to build them and the business impact
About you:

4+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, product engineering or related field
You have hands-on experiences building agents -
You have deep domain knowledge of the sales and/or support department and their required tools/data sources

You have a deep understanding of the latest AI technologies, including model capabilities, agent building best practices, evaluation, etc

You are an avid user of AI tools and agents yourself

You are an excellent communicator: able to explain how new technology works and its impact in simple terms tailored to your audience, both in written format and live presentations

Strong technical skills. You can build agents in code, evaluate their quality, and use advanced agent tools to meaningfully improve performance

Collaborative and influential. You work seamlessly across marketing, sales, engineering, product, partners and customers, helping to grow Glean’s footprint in the sales and/or support market
Location:
- This role is hybrid (4 days a week in one of our Bay Area offices)
Compensation & Benefits:
The standard base salary range for this position is $150k - $200k annually. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
