Great things are happening in the Europe and Australia (EUAU) region.

Each day, our 2,500 plus colleagues bring their passion to our offices, manufacturing sites, R&D center, and commercial/distributor markets across Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

We are energized by over 150 years of bringing people together with the food they love.

With beloved brands Old El Paso, Häagen-Dazs, Nature Valley, Betty Crocker, Fibre One, Latina Fresh and more, we are on a mission to become the undisputed growth leader in food for EUAU.

In a world that’s ever-changing, we look to stay ahead and seek people who share our love of food and are hungry to shape the future.

About the Job We’re hiring a Senior Buyer – Marketing Procurement on a 12-month interim basis to cover maternity leave.

Based at our international headquarters in the UK, this high-visibility role sits within General Mills’ Global Procurement organisation and supports critical Marketing spend across the EUAU region.

You’ll partner closely with Marketing leaders and agency partners to unlock value, drive best-in-class sourcing practices, and deliver measurable commercial impact — all in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you role is You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering the EUAU Marketing Procurement strategy, working closely with the International Category Manager to drive value across agency and marketing services spend.

You’ll identify and deliver cost optimisation opportunities while maintaining quality, service levels, and strong agency partnerships.

You’ll collaborate with Marketing leadership, Brand teams, Legal, Finance, and Global Sourcing to deeply understand business needs and support cross-functional initiatives.

You’ll lead supplier relationship management end-to-end — from identifying and onboarding new partners to managing performance through regular business reviews.

Using market intelligence and trend analysis, you’ll spot opportunities, mitigate risks, and bring external best practice into the organisation.

You’ll also lead complex negotiations, manage contracts, ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards, and track performance against value delivery and savings targets.

What you will bring to the team We are looking for at least 3 years’ experience in procurement, ideally within indirect or marketing procurement, and a strong track record of delivering savings through effective negotiation.

You’re commercially astute, confident engaging and influencing Marketing stakeholders, and skilled at translating business needs into smart sourcing strategies informed by industry trends and best practice.

You communicate clearly, build strong cross-functional relationships, and thrive in collaborative environments.
