Nowadays the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Manager plays an increasing role in architecture, engineering and civil construction industry by overseeing the implementation and management of BIM processes and technologies. The BIM Manager ensures that all project participants collaborate efficiently and that the digital models meet the highest standards. This position requires technical expertise, strong communication as well as organizational skills to ensure the success of construction projects.

Essential responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of BIM standards, processes and guidelines within an organization or project.

• The BIM manager ensures that the organization or project participants adhere to the established BIM protocols.

• Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and other relevant BIM standards, as well as adherence to GE Vernova's internal BIM procedures.

• He collaborates with all stakeholders, such as architects, engineers, construction managers and other project participants, coordinating project data. By doing so, he monitors progress and ensures that all parties adhere to the schedules.

• The BIM manager ensures the necessary quality by focusing on the accuracy and integrity of the BIM models.

• He identifies and assist in resolving potential discrepancies and problems (e.g. collision checks, project milestones).

Qualifications and Skills:

• A degree in civil engineering, architecture, or comparable qualification is desirable.

• The BIM manager should have several years of experience in applying BIM methods and technologies in engineering structures or civil engineering projects.

• Profound knowledge of BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or other relevant tools.Additional software experience is advantageous: Inventor, Solidworks, Rhinoceros, etc.

• Strong IT background and understanding of cloud-based platforms and document management.

• Ensure a careful approach to the exchange of third-party intellectual property.

• Experience in project management and leading interdisciplinary teams, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills with numerous project participants is welcome.
