Responsible for testing a product, component, feature and or feature set. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. Contributes to quality engineering discussions cross Business Unit.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
-
Own and deliver medium-sized quality engineering tasks while mentoring and helping team members.
-
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
-
Make technology choices at individual level and analyze impact.
-
Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a product.
-
Develop and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, non-functional and regression test cases.
-
Lead best practices, training, creating test case development and maintenance (manual/automation) for the scrum team.
-
Strong experience of developing or expanding test automation frameworks that provide a foundation for reliable, robust, and resilient test automation that can be integrated into a CI/CD pipeline.

Good experience of non-functional testing (e.g Performance, Scalability, Concurrency, Reliability, Availability, Interoperability, Compatibility).
-
Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC.
-
Ensure defect and test automation backlogs have a plan for resolution which can be measured and reported against on a regular basis.

Demonstrates understanding of key cross functional team dependencies that impact business priorities.

Comprehends the products of business and how the automation concepts can be applied to provide solutions.

Connects, inspires, and builds loyalty & commitment through inclusion.
Technical Skills: Some of the following:
-
Strong experience in both functional (backend and UI) and non-functional automation testing (e.g. performance, security, scalability).

Strong knowledge and experience of some of the technologies / tools e.g. SoapUI, Jenkins, JMeter, Qtest , Angular, Node, Test Cafe, NestJS, Postgres, , JUnit, REST Assured,K6 performance , GitHub Actions, Java.
-
Good Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
-
Good experience of shift left approach to quality by adopting agile ways of working.
-
Good knowledge and experience of testing cloud-based solutions, Restful Web services and micro-service architectures.
-
Experience of TDD (test-driven development) and BDD.
-
Strong experience of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
Education Qualification:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
-
ISTQB or other test qualifications.

Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems.

Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts.

Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trends

Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices.

Able to take ownership to deliver small and medium sized tasks while mentoring and helping team members.

Identifies misalignments with goals, objectives, and work direction against the organizational strategy. Makes suggestions to course correct.
