Job Description Summary

Activities contributing to the design and development of High Voltage Instrument Transformers (CT, CVT, IVT), Line Traps, Reactors and Condenser Bushings (ITR Product Portfolio). Requires operating within a well-defined engineering framework, following step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be performed to achieve engineering KPIs (On time delivery & Quality of designs & technical documentation).

Job Description:

  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Review of technical specifications of customers received as part of order transfer to understand customer requirement and convert these technical requirements into GA drawings, rating plate drawings, sectional views, Guarantee Technical Particulars (GTP)
  • Take lead in Customer interaction through Technical Project Management Team to respond to customer comments / queries and submit revised drawings and Technical Compliance documents to the customers in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of 2D/3D part drawings and assembly drawings using Auto Cad / CREO
  • Verification of customer approved drawings for creation of customer order BOMs using SAP and utilization of various material master T codes in SAP for routine engineering activities.
  • Take lead in Intra / Inter function / supplier interactions and meetings to clarify to technical doubts / clarification / queries for smooth order execution.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration with intra / inter function teams to exchange technical information, ask questions and check for common understanding to troubleshoot & solve issues (as applicable) during customer order execution. Develop strong customer relationships to ensure smooth execution of customer orders.
  • Align activities with functional priorities to meet KPIs.

Required Qualifications:

BE / B Tech / Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with min. 2 to 5yrs of relevant experience in design and development of High Voltage ITR Product Portfolio

Relevant certification in AutoCAD and CREO & working experience is preferred.

  • Desired Characteristics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong know how of Instrument Transformers, Line Traps & Condenser Bushings
  • Basic understanding of national & international reference standards related to ITR Product Portfolio (IEC 61869, 60358, 60353, 60137 etc.
  • Basic understanding of electrical design and application of ITR Product Portfolio
  • Knowledge related to Type Testing activities of ITR Product Portfolio.
  • Ability to take lead to formulate technical specifications and any other technical documentations for ITR Product Portfolio.
  • Working experience in Auto Cad, CREO, SAP & MS Office Suite
  • Understanding of BOM & cost structure and electrical design of ITR Product Portfolio to contribute with cost out ideas and necessary validation / deployment.
  • "Attention to detail" to ensure quality & correctness of technical documents.
  • Internal & External Customer Interaction and collaboration to meet KPIs
