JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox News Audio is looking for a motivated and creative full-time Writer/Producer. In this role, you will write compelling and conversational copy on a wide variety of news topics for our network radio news operations (Fox News Headlines 24/7 - Channel 115 on SiriusXM Radio and terrestrial affiliates). Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven newsroom allows you to deliver top quality written segments/newscasts. You will also fill-in as a producer on a weekly basis, taking on the role of the editorial leader in the newsroom, crafting hourly rundowns and segments.

This is an in-office position – NOT remote

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and write stories in a way that resonates with our listeners

• Write segments and reporter hits

• Keep newscasts/segments updated by working on developing stories as day progresses

• When producing: Format, program, coordinate, and produce live news hours

• When producing: keep clear communication with reporters, editors, assignment desk and anchors

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• At least 3-5 years' experience writing and producing live breaking news in a major market radio or television newsroom

• Highly skilled in writing and copy editing

• Ability to handle breaking News situations

• Strong editorial judgment is a must

• Ability to interact with high profile talent

• A positive attitude and great communication skills

• Ability to work well with a team environment

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment

• Knowledge of i News, ENCO and Adobe Audition (Cool-Edit) a major plus

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $74,000.00-90,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
