JOB DESCRIPTION
Red Seat Ventures (RSV), a FOX company, is seeking a strategic Vice President of Video Content Syndication & Licensing to lead distribution efforts across its portfolio of creator-led video properties. This individual will be responsible for extending the reach, visibility, and monetization of RSV's diverse content library; including short and long-form video, podcasts, documentaries, and live events, across third-party streaming platforms, FAST channels, legacy television networks, and emerging distribution channels.
As a senior leader within RSV's business development function, this role requires deep expertise in the streaming ecosystem, platform partnerships, and content licensing. The ideal candidate brings a disciplined approach to distribution strategy, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of driving audience growth and incremental revenue through data-driven decision-making. Collaboration across content production, marketing, operations, legal, and finance will be essential to success.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

-
Secure prime placement, favorable terms, and revenue-sharing opportunities that maximize content performance and financial returns
-
Analyze performance metrics, including views, engagement, retention, and revenue per title, using internal and external analytics tools to inform content strategy and production decisions
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align distribution efforts with business objectives, promotional campaigns, and release windows
-
Oversee end-to-end distribution processes, including content preparation, asset delivery, platform compliance, and launch coordination
-
Monitor industry trends in video distribution technologies, algorithm changes, audience behaviors, and emerging platforms to identify new opportunities
-
Optimize distribution strategies to expand audience reach, increase discoverability, and drive incremental revenue streams
-
Develop and manage distribution budgets, forecasting revenue opportunities and ensuring cost-effective delivery
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
-
15+ years of experience in video content syndication and licensing within a major media company, studio, or streaming platform
-
Proven track record of successfully placing and monetizing TV series, podcasts (video), live events, documentaries, or similar content across major distribution platforms
-
Deep understanding of the streaming ecosystem, including platform algorithms, content windows, metadata best practices, encoding standards, DRM, and accessibility requirements
-
Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated success closing distribution deals, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships
-
Exceptional analytical acumen, with proficiency in analytics tools and content management systems
-
Demonstrated ability to drive audience growth, viewership, and revenue through strategic distribution and data-driven decision-making
-
Excellent communication skills and executive presence, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and managing complex cross-functional initiatives
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Media, Communications, or related field
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
