Enterprise Technology plays a critical part in shaping the future of mobility. If you’re looking for the chance to leverage advanced technology to redefine the transportation landscape, enhance the customer experience and improve people’s lives, this is the opportunity for you. Join us and challenge your IT expertise and analytical skills to help create vehicles that are as smart as you are.

 In this position...

We are seeking a strategic and technically distinguished Technical Product Manager to head the development and implementation of our next-generation Virtual Manufacturing, Digital Thread & Digital Twin Integration. This role serves as the critical bridge between Product Design (originated in Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE) and Manufacturing Engineering (authored in Siemens Teamcenter). You will manage product teams, solicit complex business requirements, and lead the strategic "Build vs. Buy" decision-making process—determining when to leverage Siemens COTS functionality (EasyPlan) versus developing custom solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses a rare combination of deep domain knowledge in process planning and high-level technical expertise in Teamcenter architecture, including Active Workspace customization and ITK. Your mission is to ensure a seamless digital thread that carries the common occurrence thread of consumed parts from design through to simulation, line design, and real-time plant floor execution via IIoT.

Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position with a required four-day onsite presence each week.

What you'll do...

  • Product Team Leadership & Strategy: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver a robust virtual manufacturing roadmap. Act as the primary owner of the Siemens EasyPlan ecosystem, ensuring it serves as the authoritative source for manufacturing planning.
  • Multi-Platform Digital Thread Management: Oversee the complex data flow where EBOMs are cloned from 3DX to Teamcenter. Ensure the preservation of data integrity during synchronization (moving from daily to event-based), specifically managing how design intent translates into the MBOM, Product BOP, Plant BOP, and Bill of Equipment (BOE).
  • Deep Data Architecture Governance: Apply a nuanced understanding of 3DX data structures—including evolution effectivity, variants, and filters—to ensure the "Common Occurrence Thread" of consumed parts is preserved throughout the lifecycle as data flows into Teamcenter.
  • Virtual Manufacturing & Simulation Integration: Lead the integration of EasyPlan with downstream engineering tools, including NX Line Designer, Process Simulate, and Plant Simulate. Ensure that process planning data flows seamlessly into layout design and robotic/logistics simulations.
  • Technical Architecture & Performance: Provide technical oversight for complex Teamcenter installations. Lead efforts in tuning the system for high performance and scalability. Oversee and guide custom development, including Active Workspace (AWC) customization using JavaScript and backend logic via ITK (Integration Toolkit).
  • EWI & IIoT Handoff: Responsible for the generation of Electronic Work Instructions (EWI) from the virtual environment and ensuring they are fed seamlessly to plant floor systems via IIoT, bridging the gap between "As Planned" and "As Manufactured."
  • BOM & BOP Change Management: Manage the lifecycle and rigorous change management of the MBOM and multi-level Bills of Process. Ensure that updates in 3DX design are reflected accurately in manufacturing structures without breaking consumption logic.
  • 2026 Vision Implementation:
    • AI-Driven Planning: Deploy Siemens GenAI Xcelerator and RAG models to enable intelligent querying of best-in-class process plans and layout optimization.
    • Digital Twin Feedback: Implement near real-time feedback loops from the plant floor back into the "As Planned" digital twin for continuous design iteration.
    • Systems Engineering: Industrialize Siemens Dimensional Planning and Verification, integrating it with SYSML models from Magic Draw to optimize verification and avoid failure modes.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical or Systems Engineering or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • Domain Expertise: 5+ years in Manufacturing Process Planning and Virtual Manufacturing.
  • Multi-Platform Proficiency: 3+ years of deep understanding of Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) and Siemens Teamcenter (TCe) data models.
  • 5+ years of Technical Skills including:
    • Proven experience in Active Workspace customization using JavaScript.
    • Strong background in Teamcenter ITK development.
    • Demonstrated experience tuning complex, large-scale Teamcenter installations for performance and scalability.
  • Siemens Ecosystem Mastery: 3+ years of hands-on experience with EasyPlan, Teamcenter Manufacturing, and a working knowledge of how these integrate with NX Line Designer, Process Simulate, and Plant Simulate.
  • Strategic Product Management: 4+ years of experience managing product teams and making strategic "COTS vs. Custom" recommendations for enterprise software.
  • Complex Change Management: 3+ years’ experience managing MBOM and BOP synchronization in a multi-PLM landscape, with a focus on preserving the "Common Occurrence Thread."

Even better, you may have...

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
  • Emerging Tech: Familiarity with IIoT architectures, Data-Centric Architecture, and the application of Generative AI/RAG in a manufacturing context
