We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, Product Manager to join our Global Payments and Trade Client Platform team. This role is located in New York City, NY.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Develop, lead, and execute the strategic vision for International Payments U.S. Dollar Clearing Products; own the overall U.S. Dollar Clearing Product roadmap and P&L, and align teams around delivery goals. 
  • Accelerate the successful product delivery of BNY’s U.S. Dollar Clearing Capabilities such as 24 x 7 payments, commercial payments feature functionality, and treasury clearing solutions, including optimizing client experience leveraging AI, embedded finance, and data as a competitive advantage. 
  • Lead commercialization efforts and product rollouts with delivery teams to ensure adoption and commercial success.
  • Manage group of product managers and provide leadership support to multiple pod-level Product Owners and ensure alignment across multiple pod-level product backlogs.
  • Accountable for all risks originated from services delivered (including remediation efforts) & owns, manage and aggregate’s view of risk across Product/Platform.
  • Continuously groom & reprioritize pod backlogs, provide strategic input & decisioning, manage & reduce blockers, & ensure continuous flow of work for pods.
  • Collaborate with Product / Platform Leadership to share progress, flag challenges, and codify lessons learned. 

 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Minimum of 15 years of demonstrated ability in product development and delivery.
  • High degree of proficiency in OKR, Design Thinking, Event Storming, prototyping, iterative development, Scrum, and Agile product development
  • Domain expertise in U.S. dollar clearing, related payment rails, correspondent banking inclusive of Swift and ISO20022 CBPR
  • Passion for changing status quo and driving out-of-the-box ideas.
  • Eagerness to ‘roll up the sleeves’ in execution and learning; pushes the team to do the same.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Ability to make hard and fast decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
