As an EDS Engineer Ford Champ, you will be responsible of for the design, manufacture, and troubleshooting of automotive wiring systems. We are seeking a motivated EDS Champ to join our Electrical Distribution System (EDS) department, offering an excellent opportunity for candidates passionate about automotive technology to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

What you´ll do:

Wiring Harness Design and Industrialization. 

  • Assist in the design and layout and routing of wiring harnesses
  • Analyze Program Direction Letters and Trim Spiders.
  • Maintain build level complexity charts.
  • Perform Harness Complexity Analysis.
  • Collaborate with teams for accurate cost estimation. Support in selecting appropriate materials and connectors based on performance and cost considerations
  • Ensure compliance with cost, weight, quality, and timing targets.
  •  Apply Robustness Engineering Disciplines (e.g., FMEA).
  •  Understand and apply Six Sigma and 8D methodologies
  •  Audit and update Bill of Materials (BOM) for builds.
  • Understand and apply Six Sigma and 8D methodologies.

What you´ll need:    

Educational Background

  • Active student from any of the last 2 semesters of Electrical /Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and electrical circuits.
  • 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under supervision.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report findings.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of automotive systems. 
  • Familiarity with wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Understanding of electrical connectors, terminals, and cable assembly techniques.
  • Programming Languages:
    1. Proficiency in languages like Python, Java, or SQL is essential for writing code and managing data
  • Understanding and usage of AI tools. 

 

Job Base Location - GTBC (Lomas Verdes, Naucalpan de Juarez - Estado de México)
