As an Body Interior CAE Ford Champs, you will be responsible for leading the development and validation of interior components through advanced computer-aided engineering. Your role involves collaborating with design and release engineers, as well as global stakeholders, to ensure structural integrity and performance. You will be expected to drive technical solutions and manage complex simulation projects from model build-up to final validation.
What you´ll do:
Key Responsibilities:
- Build up comprehensive CAE models and create associated Bill of Materials (BOM) for every model.
- Execute CAE models, including meshing, setting, debugging, and running simulations.
- Interpret CAE results and prepare clear, actionable information for design and release engineers.
- Generate feasible and cost-effective design proposals to solve performance issues.
- Determine root causes of issues using appropriate Engineering Quality tools and 8D methodology.
- Validate product changes through rigorous engineering CAE tools.
- Prepare and present status reports on resolution, timing, and program status to management and stakeholders.
- Document and communicate "lessons learned" and "best practices" to foster continuous improvement.
- Maintain high organizational standards for all assignments and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Solid foundation in mechanics, materials, and engineering principles.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a high capacity for root cause finding.
- Proficiency in presentation skills and communicating technical issues to diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with multi-cultural and cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills:
- Maintain high organizational standards for all assignments and project documentation.
- Proficiency in CAE software such as LS-Dyna, Abaqus, Hypermesh, ANSA, or other commercially available FEA programs.
- Knowledge of CAD software and its integration with CAE workflows.
- Experience in automotive 8D methodology for systematic problem-solving.
- Demonstrated experience as a team player in a global engineering environment
