  • Design, implement, deploy and support new web-based applications and container-based microservices using server technologies stacks that include Java, MySQL, Apache/Tomcat, and open-source packages such as Spring, Hibernate, etc.
  • Excel in working with data models and transforming them to object oriented models.
  • Define and implement REST based web services exposing personal financial services for managing financial accounts, investment portfolios, credit and bank products.
  • Execute end-to-end software development in an agile development methodology including: requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment and support using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
  • Familiarity with financial planning tools and retirement plans is a plus.

Must Have:

  • 5+ years of backend development experience
  • 5 to 7years of expertise in Java, SQL, Open Source Frameworks.
  • Design, develop and maintain web applications developed using Java/J2EE,ReactJS/Angular
  • Spring/Struts/JSP, Web services (RESTful) using JSON and XML formats and produce reusable superior technical components.
  • Strong relational database skills in MySQL/Oracle or PostgreSQL.
  • Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) deployments with ability to design applications.
  • Experience using Scrum, Agile modelling and adaptive software development lifecycle.
  • Work closely with project, business analyst and QA teams. This requires strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Participates efficiently and effectively in Quality Assurance methodologies and solutions in support of business needs
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance directly to end users.
  • Trains and mentors less experienced staff.
  • Prepares appropriate documentation from which systems and solutions are supported and maintained.
  • In-depth understanding of and experience with requirement analysis
  • Preference for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple projects
  • Anticipate problems or issues that may arise, forecast high risk areas in software and drive resolution
  • Strong sense of self-motivation, organization and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem solving skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with defining testing strategies in multi-vendor enterprise application
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Computing infrastructure
  • Experience with New Sql and No Sql technologies is a plus
  • Solid practitioner’s understanding of secure application development best practices, such as OWASP
  • Deployment of scalable web systems with architectural requirements for high availability, high throughput, low response time, etc.
  • Desire to grow professionally with a small, focused, development team in a fast-paced team
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, in Computer Science or related field
