As the Quality Engineer in Cluj-Napoca you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance and conformance of all incoming materials, in‑process activities, and final deliverables across Measurement Solution System (MSS) Cluj operations. This role acts as the primary quality control focal point for inspections and material validation activities — including inbound, out-of-the-box, and project-level quality checks. You will support Quality Assurance functions such as documentation control, management of Non‑Conformance Reports and Corrective and Preventive Actions, as well as preparation for internal and external audits. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:-
Perform Inbound, Out-of-Box, and In-Process inspections per Measurement Solutions Systems Cluj

Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional verification of incoming materials and subassemblies (pipes, fittings, valves, analyzers, meters, sensors, electrical assemblies, shelters, HVAC units).

Verify presence and correctness of accompanying documents: Certificate of Conformity, Declaration of Conformity, Installations Operations and Maintenance Manuals, calibration certificates, test reports, welding/Non-Destructive Examinations records, and drawings.

Document inspection results using digital checklists, and properly tag materials based on their status, accepted or nonconforming.

Initiate Non-Conformance Reports and Continuous Improvement Requests (NCRs / CIRs) in the Continuous Improvement System and participate in root-cause analysis with engineering.

Inspects project during packing, loading, shipment phase to ensure project leaves in good quality conditions towards customers and releases report.

Liaise with suppliers / vendors early in the project phase to expedite on project schedule feasible solutions for nonconforming material.

Support supplier-side visual inspections (remotely or on-site) for critical Category 1 & 2 equipment before shipment.

For This Role, You Will Need:- Bachelor’s Degree in technical field.
- 3–7 years of experience in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), or another engineering-related field.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and Computer-Aided Design/ engineering software.
- Sound technical understanding of process engineering, instrumentation required, any field is an advantage (quality, engineering, manufacturing).
- Medium English language skills - verbal and written.
- Good communications skills
- Willingness to travel inside and outside Europe (approximative 10% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:-
Knowledge of applications in petrochemical, refining, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) industries, or equivalent.
- Laboratory experience with analytical instruments or with analytical measurement.
- Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 qualification is an advantage but not mandatory.
- In depth knowledge and certification of Welding, Non‑Destructive Examination.
