About the team and the role:

e Bay is hiring a Sneaker Authenticator for our team based in the Louisville Kentucky area! In this role, you will be responsible for keeping up to date with the Footwear industry trends, footwear releases, and collaborations with all retailers, from sneakers to high fashion. You make sure the sneaker is authenticated as well as spot manufacturer defects, assess wear, and inspect SKU and size ensuring that each buyer receives the best experience possible. The right candidates will have experience detecting counterfeits and know the indicators to confirm an item’s authenticity. While a multi-brand background is preferred, brand specialists will be considered.

Schedule: 8:30am-5pm (Mon-Fri, flexibility to work mandatory OT and holidays)

What you will accomplish:

• Evaluate preloved and new products from major footwear brands to ensure their authenticity

• Perform an inspection to confirm the item’s description and condition are consistent

• Report counterfeit items with succinct and specific findings

• Stay well-versed on current brand trends & developments

• Be comfortable in a fast-paced facility environment

• Achieve quality metrics and productivity goals daily

• Proactively communicate with managers about daily activities and obstacles

• Willingness to work in a warehouse environment

• Authenticate sneakers and assist in any other areas of the warehouse, as needed

What you will bring:

• Experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, authentication, or related field

• You are a fashion expert and have a strong sense of the category, passion for Sneakers

• Analytical and problem-solving skills ability to research and address concerns

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Flexibility to evolving work-flows and responsibilities

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

• Ability to work autonomously

• Capacity to work on your feet for several hours & lift 50 pounds as needed.

• Knowledge of standard operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, Slack, etc.

• Must be over the age of 18 years old

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

$35,600 - $62,500

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
