By leading e Bay SEO science team you will be able to conduct world-class research in the area of Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing, solve complex problems for e Bay's core product and see your work impact billions of people around the world.
You will work with top scientists to conduct top of the line research where your goal would be ensuring that e Bay buyer experience has the most important pages buyers are looking for and are found by search engines like Google or Bing to appear in their results for the most appropriate search queries.What shall you bring to the table?

• Phd in a relevant domain is a must
• 5 years’ experience in managing teams (8-12 people), while still doing some hands-on coding
• Proven experience in the fields of Machine Learning, data mining, information retrieval and knowledge management
• Ability to lead people and effectively collaborate with a variety of teams to bring technology from the idea phase to the market
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Combination of strong research & engineering skills.
• Experience in programming (Python and Java are a plus), machine learning and statistics.
• Experience in working in a complex production environment - a plus
• Publication record in machine learning or related conferences - a plus.
• Experience in Agentic development - a plus
