Summary
We’re looking for a hands-on product manager to own the systems and processes that ensure our shipping billing operations are accurate, timely, and reliable. This role is responsible for running and improving automated reconciliation workflows, investigating carrier invoice discrepancies, and driving resolution across Finance, Customer Service, Business, and Engineering. This is an execution-focused role for someone who is comfortable working directly with data, owning operational outcomes, and improving systems that have real financial impact.
Responsibilities

Own and operate automated carrier invoice reconciliation processes, ensuring exceptions are identified and resolved accurately.

Investigate billing variances by analyzing shipment, rate, and—all sides of billing data; escalate discrepancies to carriers and drive resolution.

Partner with Customer Service and Business teams to issue customer adjustments and ensure clear communication on billing issues.

Work closely with Finance to support accurate month-end close, reporting, and audit readiness.

Define, prioritize, and deliver improvements to reconciliation tooling and workflows in partnership with Engineering.

Translate operational problems into clear, testable product requirements.

Coordinate testing and validation of reconciliation logic and system changes.

Maintain dashboards and reporting on shipping costs, billing accuracy, discrepancy rates, and operational performance.

Identify root causes of recurring billing errors and lead initiatives to prevent future issues.

Document processes, edge cases, and operational learnings to inform product roadmaps and improve reliability over time.
Qualifications
Required
-
2-3 years of experience in product management or hands-on operational roles.

Strong analytical skills with experience reconciling complex datasets using spreadsheets and SQL.

Ability to write queries to validate billing logic, investigate invoice discrepancies, and support QA and release validation.

Experience working closely with Engineering and Finance teams.

High attention to detail and comfort owning processes where accuracy directly impacts revenue and customer trust.

Ability to manage recurring operational cadences alongside longer-term product and systems improvements
Nice to Have

Familiarity with shipping carriers, logistics billing, rate cards, or marketplace/payments reconciliation.

Experience improving or automating reconciliation, billing, or financial operations workflows.
