Dollar Tree's fully retail distribution center located in Savannah, GA currently looking for Department Managers to add to our Warehouse Management team so they can lead a team of warehouse associates in successfully meeting operational goals within an assigned department and across an assigned shift. This position is essential to ensuring we can meet our production goals in a fast-paced 24/7/365 operation.

Must be flexible and open to work any schedule/shifts. Schedule Fri-Sun, 5: 30 am-6:00 pm

In this role, you are expected to be on-site one hour before the shift begins to prepare assignments and the plan for the day, and to stay at least one hour after the shift ends.

You will be responsible for overseeing distribution operations and ensuring the timely movement and delivery of goods.

Warehouse Management at Dollar Tree is responsible for:

Managing and overseeing up to 20 warehouse associates, ensuring they are working proficiently and safely in various departments in the distribution center to include:

Key Responsibilities include:

• Oversee Operation: The manager is responsible for coordinating daily distribution activities, ensuring that all products are received, picked, and/or shipped in a timely manner.
• Staff Management: This role includes hiring, training, and supervising shipping department employees. The manager ensures that staff are well-trained and motivated to perform their duties effectively.
• Logistics Coordination: The shipping manager collaborates with various departments to optimize shipping processes, manage shipping documents, and track orders using logistics software.
• Budget Management: They are responsible for controlling the shipping department’s budget, negotiating transportation costs with carriers, and ensuring that operations remain within budget.
• Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service is crucial, as the manager must address any shipping-related issues and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

What we need from you:

• Three (3) or more years of warehouse management experience in a high volume, automated distribution environment.
• Ability to lead by example, mentor, develop, and foster a team environment.
• Ability to understand and demonstrate proper technical, equipment, and systems processes.
• Ability to work any shift.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
