Department Summary

The Vice President of Partnerships will lead the development and execution of enterprise-level partnerships that accelerate direct-to-consumer growth, expand media and advertising monetization and unlock cross-brand synergies. This role sits at the intersection of distribution, media, connectivity, and customer acquisition—focused on creating differentiated go-to-market pathways and incremental revenue streams through strategic alliances.

The VP will serve as a senior advisor to the executive team, shaping partnership strategy that drives scale, customer reach, and long-term enterprise value for Echo Star.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a strategic partnerships roadmap aligned to company growth priorities, with a focus on direct-to-consumer channels, alternative distribution models, and media-driven revenue.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize partners that unlock new customer acquisition pathways, bundled offerings, and differentiated market access across connectivity, media, retail, and adjacent ecosystems.
  • Structure and negotiate complex partnership agreements that drive revenue growth, audience expansion, and brand leverage, including media, sponsorship, distribution, and co-marketing arrangements.
  • Build partnerships that maximize the value of media assets, including advertising, sponsorships, content integrations, and audience monetization.
  • Create and scale synergistic partnerships with Boost, aligning offers, channels, and partnerships to drive shared customer growth and lifecycle value.
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, network, finance, and legal teams to ensure partnerships are executable, scalable, and commercially sound.
  • Manage and deepen existing partner relationships, identifying opportunities to expand scope, improve economics, and deliver incremental value for both parties.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer behavior to continuously refine partnership strategy and uncover emerging growth opportunities.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure customer acquisition impact, revenue contribution, and return on partnership investment.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing partnerships organization, setting a culture of accountability, creativity, and commercial rigor.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, media sales, distribution, or go-to-market leadership, ideally within telecommunications, media, wireless, or consumer services.
  • Proven ability to design and execute partnerships that drive direct-to-consumer growth, monetization, and market expansion.
  • Strong commercial instincts with demonstrated success negotiating complex, high-value partnership and media agreements.
  • Deep understanding of consumer acquisition models, distribution strategy, and brand-led growth.
  • Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Analytical and strategic mindset with a track record of turning market insight into scalable partnership models.
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading high-impact teams.

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $200,000.00/Year - $300,000.00/Year
