The Role:

The Commercial Finance Manager is a critical component of the Finance team. They are a valued and trusted business partner to the commercial organization. Finance business partner roles are at the heart of the Finance Operating Model, providing valuable guidance and support to the organization. You will support the performance agenda including delivery of all financial metrics while ensuring a robust control and risk management environment. You will also bring to bear global finance processes, standards, teams, systems and data to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Purpose of the Role- Commercial Finance Manager partners with Diageo commercial team and functions as well as distributor team to drive business performance through the provision of financial / commercial expertise and insights and to own the delivery of financial targets within an effective control environment.

  • Top Accountabilities- Deliver robust business performance management process to ensure delivery of all relevant financial metrics.

  • Deliver a robust governance and control environment and an effective risk management agenda

  • Provide support in formulating business strategy and converting strategies into operating plans with recommended prioritization.

  • Identify all critical business opportunities, risks and initiatives and provide standard process financial analysis and insights to support decision making.

  • Find opportunities to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness of finance activities.

  • Support finance strategy projects

  • Key Interactions- Key business partner to Commercial organization, strong working relationship required with all key business leaders

  • Supply, Marketing, Innovation, and other parts of Finance.

  • Act as trusted business advisor to all members of Commercial team, actively supporting the business in improving overall performance.

  • Build positive relationships with Distributor Partner organization representing Diageo Finance

  • Qualifications And Experienced Required- Degree educated with relevant professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA) - not necessarily a qualified accountant.

  • 5+ years of experience in a global FMCG or similar multifaceted operating environment and demonstrating commercial competence
