The Principal Electronic Engineer is responsible for designing and analysing electronic systems of Leica medical products. The incumbent will conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs, as well as provide direct support to personnel in the preparation of detailed designs, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
This position reports to the Manager, Hardware and is part of the Research & Development Medical located in Singapore and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the key responsibilities of:
- Generate and conceptualize new ideas for innovative solutions
- Product development from prototype to manufacturing release
- Lead design review and iterations to optimize the new solution for cost, process and quality
- Support engineering changes, kaizen & investigate design/quality issues
- Interact with suppliers and operations for design & tooling fabrication
The essential requirements of the job include
- Master’s or a good bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience, preferred background in the Medical/Applied Device Industry.
- Familiarity with NPI product lifecycle development
- Proficiency in electronic CAD systems, such as PADS and Altium.
- Knowledge or experience in FPGA-based and High-speed digital design.
