The Director, Finance – Genomic Medicine FP&A role is responsible for closing, reporting and analysis of Genomic Medicine Op Co financial results, providing in-depth analytics, insights and commentary to senior leadership and HQ FP&A, together with forecasting, budgeting and leading the supporting FP&A COE resources.

This position reports to the CFO, Genomic Medicine and is part of the Genomic Medicine Finance team. The role is located Amersham Place, UK (or other Cytiva hub location) and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for monthly closing, consolidation, and reporting of the Genomic Medicine Op Co financial results providing in-depth analytics and commentary to HQ FP&A and senior leadership
  • Support and own consolidation of the annual budget and monthly forecasting processes across the Genomic Medicine Op Co; act as a challenge function when consolidating and pacing financial performance
  • Drive standardization of financial reporting and process improvement across all business areas
  • Support in delivering the key standard work processes including President’s Letter execution and monthly bowler reporting covering key financial and operational metrics (Core Value Drivers)
  • Act as the key lead for broader FP&A initiatives (Cytiva transition support, One Stream enhancements, simplification initiatives, etc.)
  • Lead and coach FP&A COE resources as aligned to the Genomic Medicine Op Co
  • Provide visibility to Genomic Medicine functions financials, ensuring say/do on investments
  • Be the CFO delegate from time-to-time during core financial rhythms such the monthly forecast review, presenting and communicating financial performance and insights

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive financial experience focused on providing budget, forecast, and business analysis support with a large, sophisticated organization
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated leadership and business partnering competencies, focused on driving operational results. Action-oriented, and proficient in both a supporting and a challenging role with business partners
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & financial modelling skills. Proficiency in financial & BI systems (Oracle, One Stream, Qlik Sense etc.)
  • Strong technical finance & analytical skills, proven ability to use large sets of data and summarize into key takeaways and actions for the senior leadership team. Strong business acumen, must be able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Key competencies include highly flexible/open to change, attention to detail, initiative, communication, analytical skills, relationship/team management, critical thinking, strong sense of urgency/accountability, quick learner/problem solver
