This position is part of the APAC Commercial Team located in Korea and will be remote. At IDT, we are one global team. We celebrate our differences, engage in healthy debate, and are inclusive. Together, we accomplish great things.
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for leading the promotion and sales of IDT’s full portfolio such as Next Generation Sequencing, Archer, Synthetic Biology, CRISPR and qPCR. This role requires tactical and consistent delivery of customer support and satisfaction, while managing and driving customer consultations and partnerships within the assigned territory to achieve profit and revenue growth goals.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Tactically manages assigned accounts to deliver technical solutions, support product adoption, and drive revenue growth through effective execution.

Builds strong, trust‑based relationships by understanding customers’ short‑ and long‑term technical and commercial needs and positioning suitable products and services.
-
Educates customers on product capabilities, applications, and differentiators; supports effective product positioning through competitive and market insight.
-
Uses CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, follow‑ups, and documentation, ensuring accurate funnel tracking and timely customer engagement.
-
Identifies and qualifies new customer opportunities, prepares for sales calls, and gathers competitive and market insights to support sales effectiveness.

Works closely with Product Managers, Application Scientists, Inside Sales, and Customer Support; contributes feedback from customer visits, exhibitions, and field interactions.
The essential requirements of the job include:

Master’s degree in a Life Science field or Bachelor’s degree with relevant Life Sciences sales experience

Minimum three years of prior sales experience in life science reagents/consumables required, preferably in the genomics industry.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding ambitious sales targets in a high-pressure environment.

Deep understanding of genomics applications

Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of customers and cross functional stakeholders
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Sales experience and expertise in genomics

Ability to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to achieve defined goals
