This role consolidates all commercial functions – Enterprise, Public Sector, and Channel – under one leadership framework to ensure strategic focus, operational efficiency, and clear accountability. You will own end- to-end commercial leadership and execution across these segments.
Your mission is to accelerate AMD’s market presence, deepen customer and partner engagement, and deliver exceptional business outcomes through innovation and collaboration.
THE PERSON: The Korea Commercial Sales Director will lead AMD’s commercial growth strategy across Korea, driving profitable sales and market share expansion across all AMD product lines - with a strong focus on AI, Server, Client, and Pro-Graphics portfolios.
As AMD’s commercial leader for Korea, you will build, manage and lead a high-performing, unified sales organization, develop strategic partnerships, and execute localized go-to-market strategies aligned with AMD’s global vision and APJ priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing Korea sales team to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
Commercial Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Define and execute korea’s annual account and territory plans for Enterprise, Public Sector, and Channel partners.
- Develop and execute sell-in, sell-through, and sell-out strategies to maximize AMD’s presence in the Korea market.
- Drive partner program deployment, enablement, and quarterly forecasting with clear ownership.
Customer & Partner Engagement:
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with C-level executives at Enterprise accounts, Public Sector organizations, OEMs, and key channel partners (VARs, SIs, Distributors).
- Deliver design wins on strategic platforms with local OEMs to enable AMD platform adoption.
- Drive partner enablement, ensuring all channel partners are trained and empowered to articulate AMD’s value proposition.
Market Development
- Implement tailored go-to-market strategies for each segment to accelerate revenue growth.
- Leverage data-driven insights to identify market trends, customer needs, and solution-selling opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal AMD teams and external ecosystem partners to deliver innovative solutions.
Operational Excellence
- Control regional operating expenses, labour, and travel budgets.
- Champion open communication and cross-functional alignment within AMD and across partner networks.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Proven leadership experience managing Enterprise, Public Sector, and Channel businesses in complex, matrixed environments.

Deep commercial and strategic understanding of technology sales, with expertise in AI, Servers, and PCs.

Strong historical relationships with Korea channel partners and OEMs.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging at executive levels.

Analytical mindset with ability to leverage data for strategic decisions.

High integrity, transparency, and trustworthiness in all business dealings.

Demonstrated success in building and leading winning commercial sales teams.

Relentless drive to win, combined with sound business leadership and data-driven decision-making.

Strong understanding of financial drivers and portfolio management in complex selling environments.
