The Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure is responsible for designing, securing, and managing multi-cloud environments (primarily Azure), ensuring compliance, optimizing performance and cost, and providing leadership in cloud governance and operations. This position reports to the Director, IT Security and Infrastructure and is part of the Information Security Bengaluru, India and will be fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Ensure cloud architecture, networks, and systems are deployed following best practices and secure standards
• Implement, configure, and sustain cloud configurations and systems across Azure (primary) and AWS (secondary)
• Define and maintain the Cloud Deployment System Security Plan (SSP)
• Implement cloud governance, security, and lifecycle processes to meet compliance and operational requirements
• Manage cloud health using CNAPP tools, enforce cost controls, and optimize resource utilization
• Serve as the point of contact for cloud-related systems, including changes, threat response, and forensic investigations
• Enforce usage of approved cloud services, regions, and policies
• Remediate configuration deviations and vulnerabilities promptly
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure consistent and secure cloud operations
• Act as a mentor within the greater Danaher IT community, providing coaching and guidance in cloud technologies

Essential Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles within an enterprise environment
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS); AWS experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, governance, and security best practices including familiarity with CNAPP tools and cloud cost management practices
• Expertise with cloud networking and hybrid connectivity
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud configuration and security issues

Preferred Qualifications

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Implementing and maintaining cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC) including experience in regulated environments, preferably SOX, FDA and GMP
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates)
• Experience with metrics and reporting for cloud performance and cost optimization
• Highly collaborative, successful in a matrixed and globally distributed environment
