Role Overview

Join Our Mission to Revolutionize Search & Discovery at Coupang

We're building a world-class product engineering team that's passionate about creating an exceptional search and discovery experience for our customers. As a key member of this team, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of e-commerce by designing and developing innovative Android experiences that delight our users.

What You Will Be Doing

• Building brand-new user experience products for Coupang's search and discovery surfaces across platforms

• Maintaining high-quality, critical search-related components on the Android platform to ensure a robust, fluent, and fast app experience

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product managers, designers, and other functions) to build holistic experiences that meet our customers' needs

• Contributing best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative consumer-facing mobile products

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as an Android engineer with a strong track record of delivering high-quality products

• Expertise in Android development, including Java or Kotlin programming language, Android SDK, and UI/UX design principles

• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, Android's UI framework, and data storage solutions

• Bachelors Degree in Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience developing high quality, large-scale consumer applications.

• Experience with A/B testing and able to do experiment analysis

Pay & Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of living across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.

The base pay for this position ranges from $142,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $309,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
