The following position is to join RTX:

Employee & Labor Relations Leader, US West

This individual will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Employee & Labor Relations strategies that drive consistent, fair, and compliant outcomes aligned with our principles and values. They will help achieve RTX bargaining objectives that fully leverage cost, efficiency, and scale while ensuring fairness for covered employees. They will provide leadership and counsel across all aspects of labor management, including grievances, arbitrations, and contract administration. They will also assess and deploy measures to mitigate potential union‑organizing risk, consistent with our principles and values.

What You Will Do

  • In partnership with Business and HR leaders, achieve RTX bargaining objectives that leverage cost, efficiency, and scale while ensuring fairness for covered employees consistent with our principles and values.
  • In partnership with Business and HR leaders, assess and deploy measures to reduce potential union‑organizing risk consistent with our principles and values.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, HR partners, and local and International Union representatives.
  • Serve as the chief spokesperson representing the Company in collective bargaining for agreements in the region.
  • Provide leadership and counsel across all aspects of labor management, including grievances, arbitrations, and contract administration for sites in the region.
  • Further educate and develop HR professionals in the region.
  • Drive policies, processes, and practices that ensure effective execution and compliance.
  • Will travel up to 50%.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of labor relations experience, including the following: involvement in negotiations and collective bargaining, managing grievance and arbitration processes to resolve labor disputes, advising management on labor law compliance and best practices.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment, labor, and compliance requirements.
  • Held a significant role in collective bargaining negotiations.

Location

  • This role will be remote from a US West regional location, preferably Arizona or California.
  • This role is eligible for relocation assistance.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
