Associate Director – NPI & Industrialization (Aerospace)
Location: Bangalore (On-site)
What You Will Do
Associate Director – NPI Development & Industrialisation is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply base readiness for work transfer and part development. This role ensures that newly transitioned are industrialised efficiently, cost-effectively, and at the required quality and delivery performance by partnering closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and external suppliers.
The role acts as the primary supply chain leader for supplier capability development, risk mitigation, and ramp-up execution. Key engagements & task will be -
- Translate product and engineering requirements into executable supplier industrialisation plans
- Ensure supplier readiness for volume production across quality, cost, capacity, capability, and delivery
- Lead supplier capability assessments, gap analysis, and industrialisation roadmaps
- Drive supplier process validation, PPAP/FAI readiness, and production qualification activities
- Support supplier development initiatives to improve scalability, robustness, and long-term performance
- Serve as the primary supply chain interface to Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Program Management for work transfer
- Lead cross-functional risk assessments (capacity, tooling, lead time, cost, quality) and implement mitigation plans
- Lead and develop a team of supply chain / NPI / industrialisation professionals (where applicable)
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 12+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, operations, or NPI environments
- Strong supplier management and supplier development background
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and structured NPI frameworks
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, and change-driven environments
