Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.
As the LTAMDS Technical Manual Writer, you’ll support the development of all aspects of the LTAMDS TMs. In this role, you’ll be part of a team of writers and illustrators in the development of operational and maintenance manuals for the LTAMDS program.
This position is on site in Tewksbury, MA
What you will do:

Assess Engineering data for impacts to existing technical content.
-
Develop of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Technical Manuals, including material addressing:
-
System functional theory
-
Operations
-
Preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics and illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists
-
Participate / support all Safety and Engineering Peer Reviews of TMs.
-
Participate / support all Validation requirements and events.
-
Participate in quality reviews of materials.
-
This role will require travel (up to 20%).
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 4 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

Experience creating/editing written technical or non-technical documentation in a military or civilian environment.
-
Experience of working independently to analyze technical documentation.

Experience of following established guidelines and standards

Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with the Eagle Publishing System, MIL Standard 40051 or S1000D
-
Experience supporting projects in an Agile environment
-
Experience working in a cross-functional team, with a strong ability to communicate effectively within a geographically dispersed team.

Agile mindset with the ability to pivot when circumstances change, or direction is set.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and strategic thinking
-
Knowledgeable with ICC and Fire Unit Operations.
-
Patriot Master Gunner or Top Gun graduate.
-
Knowledgeable on organizational maintenance and remove and replace techniques.

Knowledgeable with radar theory and radar propagation.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
