What You Will Do
- Work in conjunction with key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SME’s) as required while scoping out courses and collating course materials and resources.
- Design and develop training solutions, where appropriate, perform gap analysis to identify training needs, determining where organisational wide approaches are required, or a Business Unit specific approach
- Prepare the delivery of training, considering presentation methods and a variety of learning techniques
- Delivery of quality training courses to external students as required
- Set up and preparation of the learning environment to enable best practice learning
- Obtain Workplace Assessor accreditation to be able to assess unit standards in accordance with NZQA standards and ITO moderation requirements
- Provide administration and support for trainees
- Monitor progress towards achieving the required unit standards
- Administer and support the CHCEC apprenticeship program.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships to identify and effectively meet training needs
- Build relationships with ‘specialist’ agencies / suppliers / providers to ensure co-operative partnerships are built and maintained
- Consult with management in the development of allocated programmes to ensure requirements are identified and, where appropriate, met.
- Complying with EH&S requirements & safe workplace practices when performing duties with due concern for all other persons.
- Support improvements to eliminate or reduce workplace risks.
- Take the role as a team member to actively engage in the use of CORE tools and team initiatives for continuous business improvement
- Utilise the CORE Framework to enable the Training cell to reach and maintain CORE Maturity levels
- Immediately reporting & responding as appropriate to any hazardous condition.
- Carry out other duties as requested by applicable Manager.
Qualifications You Must Have
- New Zealand Certificate in relevant Education or Aeronautical Engineering field (Gas Turbine Overhaul) (Level 4)
- 5+ years aviation industry experience, or equivalent experience related to the position
- Thorough knowledge of the process involved with the teardown, inspection, repair, modification, assembly, testing, and certification of engines undergoing repair and refurbishment.
- Acceptable level of Computer Literacy.
- Strong practical (hands on) skills and experience.
- Understanding of Aviation Regulatory Frameworks.

- Effectively identify challenges, possible solutions and implement effectively.
