This is an exciting opportunity to join the Raytheon team as the Javelin Light Weight Command Launch Unit (LWCLU) Production Program Manager within the Javelin Weapon System portfolio. You will report directly to the Javelin Weapon System Execution Director, supporting multiple LWCLU production contracts.
The LWCLU is currently completing its first low-rate initial production/transition to production builds and will immediately be transitioning to full-rate production to support the high level of demand for this product. You will be expected to work closely with and influence IPTs, functional partners, and our Army customer to ensure alignment and consistency through execution of the various production contracts. You will work through and lead various stages of program execution including proposal development, contract startup, program execution and contract closeout.
In addition to the internal responsibilities, you will also have extensive interaction with both the U.S. government customer, as well as our Joint Venture partner Lockheed Martin on various topics to include technical interchange meetings, production status and business growth. An ideal candidate will have experience in transition to production, production execution, cross functional leadership, and most importantly have the drive to lead a high-volume program in a dynamic environment.
What You Will Do
- Lead the Program Management Team (PMT) and related functional organizations in execution of production contracts to ensure adherence to cost, schedule and AOP commitments
- Lead in person daily PMT meeting/daily program cadence to ensure the team is aligned regarding priorities, issues and assistance needed
- Close interaction with business team on efficient execution of the EAC’s, performance to labor and material forecast as well as progress to meeting AOP
- Lead internal reviews and executive briefings pertaining to all pursuits to include: EAC’s, Gate approvals, contract proposals, negotiation and definitization efforts
- Expected to support domestic and international travel as needed
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 12 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 10 years of experience is required
- Prior experience supporting transition to production, production acceleration, development, and/or sustainment programs
- Program Management certification or equivalent
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience leading the quarterly EAC process and managing risks and opportunities
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong business sense to proactively identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently
- Displays strong communication skills, influential leadership, presentation skills, and comfortably interacts with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels of leadership
- Proficiency with the RMD Program Management tool suite or similar program management systems
- Working knowledge of contract formation, execution, management, and/or closeout

This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
