What You Will Do Perform assembly, disassembly, and functional testing of geared turbofan (GTF) engines and engine
components within an FAA Part 145 repair station environment
Use a wide variety of power tools, hand tools, and mechanical equipment to complete engine
assembly, test preparation, and test execution activities in accordance with approved work
instructions and procedures
Acquire, stage, and verify tooling, hardware, instrumentation, and support equipment required to
perform assigned assembly and test operations
Set up test stands and prepare, mount, and secure test articles in accordance with detailed
procedures, working independently or with assigned personnel as required
Monitor instrumentation and support engine operation during test activities under the direction of
supervision or designated leads
Perform engine service activities during testing and assist with engine inspections as required by the
engine test plan
Execute self-inspection and peer inspection of critical processes in accordance with quality
requirements and work instructions
Remove instrumentation, equipment, and utilities to de-prep, dismount, preserve, and prepare
engines for storage, transportation, or shipment to the customer
Inspect, maintain, and complete required documentation for equipment, facilities, and support
systems used in assembly and test operations
Work primarily in an industrial engine assembly and test environment, including exposure to noise,
mechanical equipment, and regulated safety procedures, while wearing required personal protective
equipment (PPE)
Support second-shift operations (Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM) with a 10% shift differential;
flexibility to work alternate shifts as business needs require
What You Will Learn Skills, systems, and processes critical to aerospace manufacturing within a state-of-the-art repair and
overhaul facility
Interpretation and application of technical data to support the disassembly, assembly, and testing of
commercial jet engines
Operation requirements and safety practices associated with engine assembly, test operations, and
support equipment
Forklift, scissor lift, and other powered industrial vehicle (PIV) operation through company-provided
training

Qualifications You Must Have High school diploma or GED:

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in aircraft engine assembly, engine testing, mechanical
assembly, or a related industrial or aerospace manufacturing environment
Minimum 1 year of experience reading and following detailed work instructions, technical data, or
manufacturing procedures
Qualifications We PreferFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
Minimum 4 years of experience in aircraft engine assembly, engine testing, or a similar aerospace
or MRO environment
Formal technical or vocational training in powerplant mechanics or engine testing
Working knowledge of aviation standards, jet engine hardware and components, instrumentation
installation, and engine assembly or test stand operations
Experience using manufacturing or maintenance execution systems such as SAP and/or Solumina
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills in a mechanical or test environment
Strong interpersonal skills and professional judgment when working in team-based production or
test settings

Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM) with a 10% shift differential. Varying shifts may be required based on business
needs.
Pratt & Whitney West Palm Beach is an FAA-regulated facility. This position is considered safety sensitive
in accordance with FAA guidelines and is subject to pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol
testing in compliance with 14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40.
