We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.
This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. We are welcoming new caregivers to collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to nationally recognized, innovative neurological care. The Nurse Manager of the Neuro Institute provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered nursing care within the assigned unit. This role sets the clinical vision for nursing practice, provides expert supervision, and drives quality, safety, and performance outcomes. The Nurse Manager leads all aspects of workforce management and professional development, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. In collaboration with interdisciplinary partners, the Nurse Manager coordinates unit operations and is responsible for budget development, resource stewardship, and continuous improvement initiatives.
A caregiver in this position works days from, 7:00am—4:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Manage the operation and practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
-
Establish clinical direction of nursing care, provide clinical supervision and maintain quality outcomes and patient care standards.
-
Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
-
Supervise caregivers and promote development.
-
Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
-
Coordinate unit operations with other units/departments.
-
Develop and monitor budgets, approve purchases and establish/revise inventory quotes.
-
Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs.
-
Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes and develop strategic plans.
-
Participate in clinical nursing research and support foundation research activities.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
-
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
-
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
-
Three years of recent clinical nursing experience, including at least one year of healthcare management experience
-
High degree of clinical expertise in the specialty area
-
Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Physical Requirements:
-
Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye and hand coordination.

Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking.
-
Requires corrective vision and hearing to normal range.
-
Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
-
Medium Work
-
Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
-
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
