The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and a deep understanding of cloud networking, security, and operations in both GCP and OCI environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure on GCP and OCI using Terraform.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of cloud resources.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services and optimize application performance.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, best practices, and industry trends, particularly within GCP, OCI, and Terraform.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical production systems.
• Document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including but not limited to:
  • VPC, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, Load Balancing
  • OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) , Oracle serverless , Autonomous Database, oracle Serverless database
  • Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub
  • IAM, Cloud Security Command Center
  • Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging)
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including but not limited to:
  • Compute (VMs, Bare Metal), Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE)
  • VCN, FastConnect, Load Balancing
  • Object Storage, Block Volume, Autonomous Database
  • IAM, Security Lists, Network Security Groups
  • Monitoring, Logging, Alarms
  • MUST HAVE: Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration and management on OCI.
• Expert-level proficiency in Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure on both GCP and OCI.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) is plus
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is plus
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desired Skills & Experience (Plus Points)

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent certification.
• OCI Architect Associate or Professional certification.
• Experience with other cloud providers (AWS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible).
• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
