Job Profile: Operational Risk Sr Analyst – C12Third Party Risk Data / Reporting / Project Analyst Job Description:

The Operational Risk Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role, specifically within the Third-Party Risk Oversight team, focusing on data and reporting analysis, and project management related efforts. Good analytical skills are essential to filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. The role will engage with the Enterprise Third Party Management team, US Personal Banking (USPB) & Global Wealth Third Party Oversight teams and others across the business areas as needed to drive centralized analytical support to assist in effectively executing and managing third party risk and control activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and execute various data reports and analytics to support the USPB & Wealth Third Party Oversight team in executing oversight and controls for internal and external suppliers.
  • Run various internal team projects in support of process improvement efforts, for execution of broader changes that may be desired from Enterprise Third Party Oversight team or any other efforts that may be needed to support the USPB & Wealth Third Party Oversight team.
  • Engage in support of audits, examinations, and deliverable requirements from internal and external reviewers related to third-party risk management and other audits that may occur from regulators or Citi’s 2nd or 3rd lines of defense teams.
  • Support the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA), including risk assessment and approval for business changes, and ensure the quality, completeness, and accuracy of the Control Framework implementation (e.g., Risk Control Policy, Control Standard, Issue Management Policy, Lesson Learned Policy, and Control Inventory).
  • Document, review and maintain appropriate policies and procedures required to support the USPB & Wealth Third Party Oversight team.
  • Perform comprehensive analysis to support the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of MCA controls (both prior to and after execution).
  • Perform analysis to support oversight on Key Performance Metrics for the USPB & Wealth Third Party Oversight team, supporting Third Party Officers in assessing breaches and developing and tracking action plans.
  • Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy, operating with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Ensure project completion, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in operational risk, third-party risk management, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present a compelling case and influence others where appropriate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer-focused, and proven ability to work collaboratively in diverse team environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to tell a strong story with data.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to establish a project structure and timeline and manage execution and reporting throughout.
  • Demonstrated understanding of operational risk, third-party risk principles, and gap identification.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and exhibit strong organizational skills.
  • Outstanding relationship building and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of independent judgment and autonomy.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
