The Instant Payments Product Manager is responsible for a diverse set of solutions that provides our TTS clients with Instant payments & collections and reconciliation services in LATAM, covering all countries where Citi is present in the region, including Mexico.
The role requires knowledge of markets, regulations and Citi policies at global, regional and local levels with a high product and geographical complexity: multi-country, multi-product.
Focal point, as in-product specialist on functionality and capabilities. Supports market activities, including identification of new features based on segment/country practices, competitor's developments, regulatory requirements and financial market infrastructure changes.
Collaborates with regional business managers to position our offering in the marketplace as the preferred set of Instant Payments solutions within its target market, with special focus on value added services – QR Codes, APIs, Immediate Direct Debit, Request to Pay – covering incoming and outgoing flows.
Leads efforts to drive Instant Payments conformance to Data Quality initiatives as part of the global Data Governance framework for Payments & Receivables, liaising with different stakeholders to drive projects to conclusion on time.
Supports the Payments business in giving visibility and tracking issues and execution of CAPs related to Instant Payments, aligned to our Risk & Control Framework in coordination with IBRC.
Maintains up-to-date records and materials of the regional and local Instant Payments services, as well as market rules and conditions to support and promote our offering: this includes Capability Grid, Digital Documentation for client onboarding and Product Approval Programs.
Partners effectively with diverse stakeholders with a broad geographic scope (e.g.: global, regional, local) and roles, including Product, Sales, Implementations, Operations, Service, Technology, Compliance, Risk and others to carry out all responsibilities of the job.
Job Responsibilities:
- Continuous improvement of our Instant Payments solution suite, focused on value added services
- Identify new opportunities to continue expanding our Instant Payments offering
- Support commercialization of our Instant Payments solutions
- Maintain a close monitoring on Instant Payments issues to drive timely execution of CAPs
- Keep our Capability Grid and Onboarding Documentation up to date to deliver the best client experience for Instant Payments, starting with commercialization
- Monitor Instant Payments KPIs and drivers to assess performance of our solutions
- Ensure the right operating model is in place for our Instant Payments solutions: operational processes, service model, implementation model, data requirements
- Maintain Instant Payments in compliance with regulations, internal policies and our Risk & Control framework
- Work with the LATAM Domestic Payments Head and collaborate with the Domestic Payments and Receivables Business Managers to continue growing the business.
- Work in partnership with Digital Channels, Operations, Technology, Sales, Implementations, Service, Compliance, Risk and others to provide an end-to-end view of our solutions.
- Provide guidance to the countries
- Serve as the knowledge center for all internal constituencies, clients and partners
Qualifications
The candidate for the position must have:
- Understanding of the Domestic Payments & Receivables products and Instant Payments in particular, as well as markets and risk & control environment.
- Product-related experience (Product Management / Domestic Payments & Receivables), minimum 5 years.
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Influencing skills, primarily with a non-directly managed team.
- Client interaction skills
- Execution skills, track record of delivering results on time
- Strong written & verbal communication and interpretation skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish
