The Engineer Sr Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and development of software and infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, scalable, and high-performance front-end applications using React.js and advanced JavaScript (ES6+), ensuring adherence to architectural best practices.
  • Drive technical vision and architectural decisions for front-end systems, evaluating new technologies and frameworks to ensure optimal solutions.
  • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including product owners, UX/UI designers, architects, and back-end engineers, to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Establish and enforce front-end development standards, best practices, and patterns, including code quality, testing methodologies, and documentation.
  • Conduct in-depth code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring high standards of code quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to a team of front-end developers, fostering their professional growth and technical capabilities.
  • Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and architectural challenges within existing and new applications.
  • Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues, often under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Champion continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and automated testing strategies for front-end solutions.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and roadmap definition for front-end technology initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging industry trends, tools, and technologies, and drive their adoption where they can provide significant business value.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6+ years of progressive experience in front-end web development, with a significant portion focused on React.js.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in a lead or senior capacity, guiding teams, mentoring developers, and making significant architectural contributions.
  • Architectural Acumen: Proven ability to define and implement front-end architectures for large-scale applications.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts, influence stakeholders, and present technical solutions.
  • Problem-Solving: Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: Strong ability to foster collaboration, lead technical discussions, and drive consensus within a dynamic team and across organizational boundaries.
  • Agile: Extensive experience working in Agile/Scrum or other iterative development methodologies, preferably in a lead role.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Technical Skills

  • Core Languages: Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3, with a deep understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance.
  • Frameworks/Libraries: Mastery of React.js, including advanced concepts such as Hooks, Context API, advanced state management patterns (e.g., Redux-Saga, Redux-Thunk, MobX), and server-side rendering (SSR) or static site generation (SSG) with React frameworks (e.g., Next.js, Gatsby.js).
  • Type Script: Strong expertise in TypeScript for building robust and maintainable front-end applications.
  • Asynchronous JavaScript: Expert understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, async/await, and event loops.
  • Testing: Comprehensive experience with various testing strategies, including unit (Jest, React Testing Library), integration, and end-to-end (Cypress, Playwright) testing.
  • Build Tools: In-depth knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines, bundlers (Webpack, Vite), and task runners, with the ability to configure and optimize them.
  • Version Control: Expert proficiency with Git, including advanced branching strategies and collaborative workflows.
  • Responsive Design: Deep understanding and practical experience with responsive and adaptive web design, accessibility (WCAG), and internationalization.
  • Browser APIs & Performance: Extensive knowledge of browser APIs, web performance optimization techniques, and debugging tools.
  • RESTful APIs & Microservices: Strong experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integrating with microservices architectures.
  • Architectural Patterns: Familiarity with common front-end architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, Flux, BEM, atomic design) and their application.
