Automation Engineer – Associate Analyst Position Overview

Evernorth Core Platform Engineering team is seeking an enthusiastic Automation Engineer – Associate Analyst to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals eager to start their career in automation engineering and quality assurance. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to learn, contribute, and grow in a high-performance enterprise technology environment.

As an Associate Analyst, you will assist in developing and executing test strategies for Web & Mobile applications, support automation initiatives, and gain hands-on experience with modern tools and frameworks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills in automation, CI/CD, and agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and executing test cases for web and mobile applications under guidance.
• Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for UI, API, and mobile platforms.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing when required to ensure product quality.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve defects by documenting issues accurately.
• Learn and apply best practices in Quality Engineering and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Gain exposure to data validation and basic SQL queries for backend testing.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and agile ceremonies to understand workflows and priorities.

Qualifications:

• 0–1 years of experience in software testing or automation (internship experience is a plus).
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing principles.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (JavaScript or TypeScript preferred).
• Exposure to automation tools like Cypress or WebdriverIO (academic or project experience acceptable).
• Knowledge of API testing concepts and tools such as Postman.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git-based tools like GitHub, GitLab).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.

Required Education & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Awareness of cloud technologies (AWS exposure is a plus).
• Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn new technologies.
