AI & ML Advisor Position Overview

Evernorth, a leading Health Services company, is looking for exceptional data engineer in our Data and Analytics organization. In this role, you will actively participate with your development team on initiatives that support Evernorth's strategic goals as well as subject matter experts to understand business logic you will be engineering. As a software engineer, you will help develop an integrated architectural strategy to support next-generation capabilities on an enterprise-wide scale. You will work in an agile environment, delivering user-oriented products.

We are seeking a highly skilled Gen AI/ML Engineer with expertise in embeddings, vector databases, and application development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, and software development. The Gen AI/ML Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing AI/ML models or applications, leveraging embeddings and vector databases to build innovative applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Gen AI/ML applications with a focus on embeddings and vector databases.
• Implement and optimize machine learning algorithms for various applications, including natural language processing and computer vision.
• Develop and maintain scalable applications that leverage AI/ML models and vector databases.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing systems.
• Conduct research and stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Optimize the performance and scalability of AI/ML models and applications.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the AI/ML lifecycle.

Qualifications Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AI/ML Engineer or similar role, with a focus on embeddings and vector databases.
• Strong understanding of machine learning principles, algorithms, and frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., Tensor Flow, Py Torch, scikit-learn).
• Hands-on experience with vector databases (e.g., Faiss, Milvus, Pinecone).
• Familiarity with natural language processing techniques and tools.
• Experience in developing and deploying scalable applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required Experience & Education:

• 8-12 years of overall IT experience.
• Proven experience as an AI/ML Engineer or similar role, with a focus on embeddings and vector databases.
• Strong understanding of machine learning principles, algorithms, and frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries.
• Hands-on experience with vector databases (e.g., Faiss, Milvus).
• Familiarity with natural language processing techniques and tools.
• Experience in developing and deploying scalable applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
