The Trade Marketing Manager – F&B is responsible for negotiating brand visibility with key department store partners (Liverpool, Sears, and Sanborn’s), planning and executing the promotional calendar, developing sales growth strategies, organizing brand events, and analyzing the market and competitive landscape. This role aims to maximize commercial impact and strengthen the presence of CHANEL and its distributed brands across all retail channels.
Acting as a strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Retail Education, the Trade Marketing Manager ensures that all brand activations and point-of-sale initiatives are executed with excellence and aligned with CHANEL’s global standards and local objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Brand Visibility Negotiation:
- Negotiate preferential placement, in-store displays, and POP materials with retailer partners.
- Present proposals for brand activations and visibility initiatives for different brands.
- Maintain strategic relationships with retailer commercial teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Ensure proper implementation of agreements and adherence to Versailles brands guidelines.
Promotional Calendar Planning & Execution:
- Design and coordinate the annual and seasonal promotional calendar.
- Align promotional activities with product launches and global marketing campaigns.
- Supervise the execution of promotions at point of sale, ensuring excellence in presentation.
- Evaluate promotion performance and propose continuous improvements.
Sales Growth Strategy Development:
- Develop commercial tactics to increase product turnover and brand growth.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and portfolio maximization.
- Propose and coordinate the implementation of innovative point-of-sale initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of implemented strategies, adjusting as needed.
Event Organization & Coordination:
- Design and execute brand events, in-store activations, and consumer experiences.
- Coordinate logistics, resources, and materials for flawless execution.
- Negotiate and secure strategic spaces for events with retailers.
- Produce post-event reports including photographic evidence and results analysis.
Market & Brand Analysis:
- Conduct market, trend, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare reports on commercial performance, market share, and benchmarking.
- Recommend adjustments to commercial strategies based on insights and market intelligence.
- Stay informed on relevant retail and luxury trends to anticipate market shifts.
What are we looking for?
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or related field.
Experience:
- 4–5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, preferably with luxury, beauty, or retail brands.
- Proven experience managing department store accounts or multi-brand portfolios.
Technical Competencies:
- Commercial negotiation and relationship management.
- Strategic planning and project management.
- Market analysis and competitive benchmarking.
- Event management and promotional execution.
- Portfolio management and sales growth strategies.
Personal Competencies (CHANEL):
- Customer-focused mindset and decision-making skills.

Languages:
- Advanced English and Spanish required.
