Job Advertisement – Robotics Technician

In this role, you will work in a fast‑paced, innovative 24/7 warehouse and logistics environment, supporting and maintaining a fleet of advanced robotic systems. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring colleagues, and taking ownership of operational excellence.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for working within a 24x7 warehouse/logistics environment providing operations and maintenance services to support a fleet of robots. Expected to be a subject matter expert within the department and will act as a lead and mentor to Robotics Technician I and II employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and sets expectations for safe work practices.
  • Provides guidance to level I and II technicians at the site. Acts as a mentor for level I and II technicians and provides training as required.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots electrical and mechanical systems to Robotics System.
  • Provides advanced troubleshooting support including diagnosing and repairing complex problems within the fleet.
  • Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots control components, photo eyes, proximity sensors, servo drives, techs, and encoders.
  • Utilizes knowledge of the Ethernet communication modules.
  • Assists Service Technicians repairing and maintaining material handling equipment.
  • Completes preventative maintenance routines, documentation and procedures.
  • Performs battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.
  • Enters downtime data in daily log, completes PM sheets.
  • Tracks and stores the department's inventory, including spare parts.
  • Enters e-mail communication and data entry for database.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
  • May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers.
  • May coordinate work and assign tasks.
