About the role

As CBRE’s Compliance Director – Controls, Reporting & Technology, you will lead global governance initiatives focused on compliance controls, monitoring, reporting, and technology‑enabled process improvement. The role partners closely with compliance leaders, technology teams, and Field Compliance Officers to develop and strengthen the control framework, reporting capabilities, and modernize compliance operations.
You will also define and execute the Compliance Technology Strategy, including identifying and spearheading automation opportunities, reporting enhancements, and AI‑supported use cases that will drive efficiency, consistency, and risk visibility across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development and execution of a global control testing and monitoring program aligned with the enterprise risk management framework
  • Maintain a consistent compliance control framework, ensuring standard documentation, testing protocols, and monitoring expectations across regions.
  • Partner with Field Compliance Officers and SMEs to ensure uniform adoption of control practices.
  • Integrate data sources to improve the accuracy and timeliness of compliance reporting.
  • Define and oversee the Compliance Technology Strategy and multi‑year roadmap supporting controls, monitoring, and reporting modernization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities for workflow automation, analytics enablement, and AI‑assisted monitoring.
  • Partner with Technology and Data teams to implement digital capabilities, ensuring solutions meet compliance, usability, and governance standards.
  • Lead pilots and adoption of new tools, including automation workflows, reporting enhancements, and AI‑supported analytics.
  • Establish governance for technology‑enabled compliance processes, including documentation, testing expectations, and ongoing oversight.
  • Serve as a strategic connector between compliance SMEs, regional teams, and technology partners to ensure aligned implementation of initiatives.
  • Drive change across global teams, balancing innovation with operational practicality and risk mitigation.
  • Support global policy, training, and communication efforts as needed.
  • Deliver clear, executive‑ready reports that highlight insights, trends, and emerging risk indicators.
  • Oversee and manage day-to-day activities of direct reports.
