Caterpillar’s Building Construction Products (BCP) division is hiring a CAT Compact Marketing & Sales Consultant to support the new brand -- Cat Compact!

Role Summary: This role is designed to provide on-site operational support at Cat Compact stores, ensuring alignment with brand expectations and facilitating continuous improvement. The CAT Compact Marketing & Sales Consultant will be embedded within dealer operations to consult on enhancements, validate inventory, gather voice of customer (VOC) feedback, and support digital integrations.

What You Will Do

  • Provide on-site support at Cat Compact stores to ensure operational excellence and brand consistency.

  • Consult with dealer teams on process improvements and digital integration strategies.

  • Validate inventory and support automated replenishment systems for high-volume, low-variability products.

  • Gather and interpret voice of customer feedback to inform Cat Compact strategy.

  • Collaborate with dealer personnel to enhance customer experience and store operations.

  • Support deployment of omnichannel strategy within the store environment.

  • Ensure alignment with Cat Compact strategy including onboarding, lead follow up, consultative selling process, and other tactics.

  • Act as a liaison between store operations and Cat Compact Representatives to ensure seamless communication and execution.

What You Have

  • Customer Focus: Strong understanding of dealer operations and customer experience principles.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret VOC data

  • Problem Solving: Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution

  • Relationship Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers

  • Project Management: Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives

Top Candidates Will Also Have

  • Previous field rep experience with Caterpillar or its dealers

  • Experience in operational consulting or process improvement

  • Familiarity with Cat Compact product lines and store operations

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Demonstrated experience in sales, service, or retail operations within the Caterpillar dealer network

  • Experience with digital tools and e Commerce platforms

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

  • Location: On-site at Cat Compact dealer locations

  • Travel: 50-75% travel required to support multiple dealer sites

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.
