About this role:
Carrier is looking for an experienced and skilled Product Manager to join our HVAC team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of HVAC products, particularly in inverter ducted/ductless/VRF systems, as well as side discharge heat pump technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collects and analyzes macroeconomics, industry, and target market information to forecast market size.
- Conducts competitive product and service analysis, and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience to develop product requirements and specifications.
- Coordinates or participates in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market products or services.
- Identifies, develops, and implements near-term and mid-term business strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies, services, follow-on products, and/or industries to ensure profitability and positioning in the market.
- Initiates and prioritizes projects, tracks product/service development and develops product/service launch plans to effectively manage a product or service category's life cycle and ensure profitability.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 + years of experience in the HVAC industry
- 5 + years of experience with HVAC heat pumps, and/or HVAC ductless systems
- Availability to work outside standard business hours
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to25%
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS/MBA degree
- Product Management or Project Management Certification
- Understanding of residential HVAC applications and marketplace dynamics.
- Previous experience working with engineering and business/sales is preferred.
- Proven experience with HVAC inverter technology.
- Experience with Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF)
- Passion for servicing customers. Ability to listen to customers’ needs and quickly act to solve their problems, provide quality solutions, and go above and beyond to exceed their expectations.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from multiple sources and synthesis in both graphic and verbal format, so that it is easily understood by the target audience.
- Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action mindset.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format across a wide audience. Ability to quickly identify new and innovative ways to work faster and simpler.
- Ability to think outside the box, innovate, take risks, and implement progressive, sustainable solutions.
- Ability to work in self-directed manner to identify needs of the organization and/or customer, articulate necessary proposals and see projects through to completion.
- Strong ability to lead and develop diverse, cross functional project teams to achieve high levels of performance in a dynamic, changing environment.
- Clear understanding of basic marketing principles.
- Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
Pay Range:
The annual salary for this position is $120,000–$168,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
